Fluidizing is a process where a solid particulate material (usually granular or powder) becomes suspended and behaves like a fluid when a gas or liquid is passed upward through it at a velocity sufficient to suspend the particles. This process causes the solid particles to act like a fluid, allowing better mixing, heat transfer and chemical reactions.
