Introducing Parker LINKbridge
An Upgrade Path for Drive Systems Using SSD Link
Parker's Electronic Motion and Controls Division is pleased to announce the release of LINKbridge. As the emergence of LINK communications and the adoption of LINKnet had previously created a gap between LINK/LINK2 fiber optic systems and LINKnet's Ethernet protocol.
This newest addition to Parker's drive catalog creates a seamless interface between legacy 16 bit LINK fiber optic networks and current 32 bit LINKet CAT based networks.
This allows for planned incremental upgrade of leg fy LINK fiber optic systems. It also makes it possible for emergency replacement of obsolete LINK fiber optic components with current LINKnet components while leaving the remainder of the LINK fiber optic network intact. With the LINKbridge, legacy Parker customers can update to LINKnet in stages instead of replacing a legacy system as a whole. Once a system is fully upgraded, the LINKbridge can be reused for your next project.
LINKbridge Features:
- Compatible with both AC and DC Parker Drives
- Compatible with all legacy LINK fiber optic drives and components
- Configurable with DSE
- DIN rail mountable
- USB port for programming with DSE
- Ethernet port for connecting into LINKnet network/Ethernet network
- Power supply input (24 VDC)
- LINKbridge
LINKbridge will be available by quote only to qualifying current Parker integrators and direct accounts. These integrators must confirm that they are capable of utilizing DSE, DSD, and are familiar with the LINK, LINK2, and LINKnet protocols. Qualification forms must be completed for each sale. Parker EMC reserves the right to deny purchase at any time.
