EMI Protection Meets Design Freedom with
CHO-SEAL 6750
August 1, 2023

Electromagnetic interference (EMI), unwanted noise or interference in an electrical circuit, can instantly take electronics from high-performing to stagnant. And as devices become both more powerful and more sensitive, the potential negative impacts of EMI only get worse.

Parker Chomerics is the global leader in thermal interface materials and EMI shielding solutions, and we continue to deliver engineering innovations to help companies protect their applications from EMI. Today we’re excited to introduce CHO-SEAL® 6750, a new offering from the trusted CHO-SEAL family of nickel-plated graphite-filled elastomers. CHO-SEAL 6750 is a low durometer, nickel-graphite filled fluorosilicone EMI shielding material. Its high-temperature capability and chemical resistance make it an excellent choice for environmental sealing and EMI shielding.

A notable characteristic of CHO-SEAL 6750 is that it is softer than other CHO-SEAL products and requires lower compression force. That means it can be used against many materials without the risk of the plastic deforming, offering greater design freedom. CHO-SEAL 6750 is available in molded, sheet stock and die-cut formats, and molded configurations including O-rings, D-rings and custom shapes. Sheet stock can be supplied with an electrically conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive for assistance during the assembly process.

In addition to providing good EMI shielding across a broad frequency spectrum, CHO-SEAL 6750 further protects electronic devices by offering environmental sealing from dust and moisture. The fluorosilicone binder ensures additional fluid resistance against harsh fluids and chemicals such as machining oils, bleaches and various fuels. CHO-SEAL 6750 is the lowest durometer fluorosilicone-based material in the Chomerics conductive elastomer product family.

CHO-SEAL 6750 is an excellent solution for many high-performing applications, including military electronics housings, aerospace modules, connector interface seals, telecommunications equipment and industrial applications.

The CHO-SEAL family of nickel-plated graphite filled elastomers addresses a range of EMI shielding and environmental needs for both internal and external applications. All of these materials have excellent performance in chemical resistancen applications, providing options for addressing fluid immersion requirements. The nickel-plated graphite filler coupled with silicone or fluorosilicone elastomer provides a family of EMI gasket choices that rise to the occasion for a variety of commercial and military application needs.

CHO-SEAL 6750 is a game changer for any application that requires design flexibility without sacrificing EMI protection and environmental sealing.
