Compressors are essential to automate pneumatic downforce control within planters. If the planter is equipped with air bags, the air compressor, powered by the tractor hydraulics, ties into the existing air bags to control downforce on the planter. Therefore, a compressor must be able to deliver large quantities of air air constantly, especially during peak work cycles. Maximum air flow is key which can deliver up to eight times the air flow compared to a electrically driven air compressor, allowing for more and faster downforce changes to be made.
