National Hydrogen Day is October 8
Scientists and engineers across the country will recognize and celebrate
Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day on October 8, chosen for the atomic weight of hydrogen (1.008).
Read more below to learn why it is important recognize and celebrate this very important element!
Why is Hydrogen Technology so Important?
The future is here and we are ready for it.
1) Hydrogen is often described as the “Swiss Army Knife” for decarbonization. It is a clean burning fuel which can be applied to a very broad range of applications.
2) Hydrogen is consumed in a fuel cell and produces water as its only emission. This type of fuel can be produced from a variety of resources including: natural gas, nuclear power, biomass, and renewable power like solar and wind.
3) Hydrogen fuel can be used to power cars, as an alternative energy for houses, for portable power, and in many more applications.
This is why hydrogen will be a critical fuel for future years and why Parker Hannifin is involved in and supporting the implementation. We are developing products and solutions that will lead to a more sustainable tomorrow.
