WHITE PAPER:
Pre-Cooling of Compressed Air before an Adsorption Dryer
______
The desiccant bed of an adsorption dryer must be sized for the maximum water vapour loading (WVL) of a compressed air system if it is to deliver a consist outlet dewpoint. Temperature plays an important part of adsorption dryer sizing and the higher the temperature, the larger the dryer. As the desiccant bed of an adsorption dryer increases in size, the energy required to generate the desiccant material also increases.

This white paper looks at the benefits of pre-cooling the compressed air before an adsorption dryer to reduce the WVL into the dryer and the most optimum way to achieve this.
